The MICROGalleria
is an exhibitive space that is dedicated to a research project into the exhibitive and performing practices in contemporary art. Founded in 2004 by Anna Maiorano, lecturer in Anatomy of the image and Cristina Reggio, lecturer in the Phenomenology of the body, the MICROgalleria is, above all, an experimental workshop whose research criteria are not tied to the logic of the art market. The exhibitions and performances are both an instrument and an object of study and are ideated and organised with the aim of observing the interactions between the authors, the works and the public in a space which is transformed for each event. The space is therefore not conceived as an abstract geometrical fact but as an environment that is experienced by those who live it and for whom it takes on, with each exhibition, new forms and meanings.
